If so, the North Star Blade Collectors is the knife club for you. We are based in Minnesota with members from all over the United States & Canada. Our blade collecting club was founded in 1982.
We are a diverse group of people that have come together based on a common factor -- an interest in various forms of knives and cutlery. Associated with that is the fun of finding, buying, selling, trading, and owning examples of what might be man's oldest tool.
We meet once a month in Bloomington, Minnesota -- a Minneapolis suburb -- and publish a monthly newsletter. At our meetings there is buying, selling, trading, appraisals, and storytelling. Periodically there are speakers and regularly we hold an auction where knives sometimes change hands at amazingly low prices.
Dues are only $20 per year and lifetime memberships are available. The meeting place is the Creekside Community Center located at 98th St. and Penn Ave. S. in Bloomington, MN. We meet at 10 AM on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
